Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 26, 2008 -- Lawrence Whitnall, founder of The Massage Co., has announced that the Massage Co. will sponsor Schreiber Crime Watch for the remainder of 2008.
Schreiber Crime Watch is a community crime watch responsible for 1700 homes north of Forest Lane, south of LBJ in between Midway Rd. and Inwood Rd. The crime watch is also supported by the Dallas Police Department. The sponsorship comes after Lawrence Whitnall and The Massage Co. experienced an armed robbery in 2007.
"Our location at Preston and Forest was robbed at gunpoint along with 3 or 4 other businesses in the area. They made off with $300 and our employee was pretty shaken up. After that happened I realized that it was important to get involved and help reduce crime in the area. The crime watch sponsorship allows for programmatic engagement with both citizens and fellow business owners in the area," commented Lawrence Whitnall.
According to Melissa Hilyard, of Schreiber Crime Watch, "The goal of Schreiber Crime Watch is for neighbors to reduce or prevent crime in their neighborhood. The Massage Co. will help us to cover our marketing costs as well as help to encourage information sharing in the commercial sector of the neighborhood."
